In a tweet via Twitter Virat Kohli wrote, “I am extremely blessed to not only represent India but also lead India’s Indian cricket team at the very best of my capabilities.”
“I am thankful for all the people who have supported me as head of the Indian cricket team,” Kohli said. I am grateful to each Indian citizen who has prayed for our team, which included my teammates, my support team, selection committee, and coach. I could never have accomplished much without their help and encouragement.
The Indian captain claimed it was essential to know the work load. After having played in every format in the past 8-9 years, and played continuously for five 6 years, and feeling an overwhelming amount of work and ‘work’, I believed that I was required to manage in the direction of the Indian team in both Test and ODI cricket in a better way. It’s just a matter of being more careful with the assistance you give to others.

“As an captain for the T20 I’ve performed my best for the team, and I will do the best I can as batsman during the T20,” said Virat Kohli.
“It took me a long time arrive at this conclusion. After much thought and debate with my closest friends and the coaches Ravi Bhai and Rohit, I’ve made the decision to play at the T20 World Cup in Dubai in October,” the Indian captain stated. I will step down as T20 captain after the cup.
“I have given the selectors my full confidence and have taken into confidence the president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Sourav Ganguly as well as secretary Jay Shah. I will continue serving as a member of the Indian cricket side to the very best of my abilities,” he added.
