Users of TikTok, is a popular social media platform across the United States, spend time watching more content each month than YouTube users.

TikTok first beat YouTube in August of last year. In June of 2021 its users were able to access over 24 hours worth of video per month, compared to just 20 hours, 40 mins in the case of YouTube users.

The difference is more apparent within The UK: TikTok overtook YouTube in May of this year. Uk users now watch approximately 26 hours of content every monthly on TikTok.

According to a study conducted by the app analytics firm App Inni (App analytics firm App Annie), Tik Tok users in the United States spend more time watching videos than YouTube users each month.

The report focuses on the number of Android phone users, and is not the entire number of mobile users however these numbers do illustrate the growing popularity of TikTok over the last couple of years.

One of the main reasons behind its popularity TikTok is the fact that TikTok gives its users up to three minutes of short videos. This makes it easier for users to make use of this app more often.

It is worth noting that on YouTube users generally are more active than tok.
